Recently, Corrosion Center members won several awards from Russ College of Engineering
and Technology and Ohio University. At annual Award celebration, Russ College awarded Bruce Brown
(left) with Outstanding Administrator Award which is the highest honor for administrative personnel in the
Russ College and recognizes the college employees with outstanding results-based performance. Dr. Srdjan
Nesic (right) won two awards: The Russ Outstanding Research Paper Award for his paper "Kinetics
of Corrosion Layer Formation, Part 1. Iron Carbonate Layers in Carbon Dioxide Corrosion and Part 2. Iron Sulfide
and Mixed Iron Sulfide/Carbonate Layers in Carbon Dioxide/Hydrogen Sulfide Corrosion." The Award recognizes
research and scholarship excellence across the college by faculty who published papers in refereed journals, and
The White Research Award in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, which recognizes
continued and sustained achievements in research, scholarship, and the creation of new knowledge in each
department.
