On September 23, 2013, the Institute will be hosting Mr. Richard A. Rabinow. Mr. Rabinow will share with the ICMT and Russ College students his extensive
and rich experience from his 34 years long career with Exxon Mobil, as one of its high ranking executives.

Description: The Oil and Gas Industries are highly technology dependent and are constantly pushing the frontiers of technical knowhow. The
demand for technically trained employees is large and their roles are diverse, including the support of operations, maintenance and project activities; R&D
and management. Opportunities include direct involvement in the companies as well as in the large and diverse service industry that provides contract support.
The presentation will include a discussion of career paths within the industry.
Afternoon presentation - Title: Integrity Management in the Refining and Pipeline Industries Venue: HRTC 141-145 / Time 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Description: Safe, environmentally sound and reliable operations are the industries’ goals. That equates to eliminating all injuries, whether to
employees or to the public, not harming the environment and having predictable operations. Accomplishing those objectives involves every facet of the
organization, including design, construction, operations, maintenance and managing change. Increasingly industry has developed integrity management systems to
improve performance. Materials are a vital consideration, including their properties, selection, behavior in operations and failure mechanisms.
