Dr. Marc Singer has been hired on as an Assistant Professor at Ohio University’s Russ College of Engineering and Technology, starting in August 2013. Marc earned a National Process Engineering degree from Ecole Nationale Supérieure an Génie des Technologies Industrielles and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Université de Pau et des Pays de L’Adour. He recently completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering at Ohio University, while also working full-time as Associate Director for Project Development of the Institute for Corrosion & Multiphase Technology. Marc has more than 10 years of experience in the Institute, beginning as a Research Engineer and rising to Associate Director with responsibility for building and leading joint industry projects with major international oil and gas. He has experience in corrosion measurement and simulation in environments containing hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and organic acids. He has particular expertise in top-of-the-line corrosion occurring when gases containing condensable components are transported via pipeline. |
